Only idiots who don’t bother reading between lines and, nevermind, they don’t even bother reading the decision. Here’s the gist of it.
Citizens United did NOT establish that corporations are people (they are not, can’t be, won’t be, never were).
Corporations are, and have been, given status of people for certain legal purposes (such as enforcing contracts, subject to jurisdiction), this is NOT new from Citizens United.
Citizens United simply stated the fact, that corporations, are owned by people, and are groups of people, as such, they have the same rights as people for the purposes of free speech, campaign finance, in other words, corporations are people for the purposes of campaign finance restrictions.
Citizens United does NOT depend on “Corporate personhood” (like I said above, much less invented the idea)

Misunderstanding of the decision leads to laughable reactions

By the way, Citizens United IS NOT EVEN RESPONSIBLE for free for all Super PACs, that’s been decided since 1976 (the only bump on the road may have been McCain Feingold)
The Media’s Shameful, Inexcusable Distortion Of The Supreme Court’s Citizens United Decision
Again, Citizens United DID NOT make “Super PACs possible” as many articles suggest, Super PACs or “Independent Expenditure-Only Committees” (IEOC) already had such rights, they were just not designated and organized by a precise protection.
